A Digital Access Project

Since 2000, Digital Access has designed and run summer media camps, with mostly volunteer support. Partners have included the Minneapolis Park and Rec Board, Minneapolis Public Libraries, Girls and Boys Clubs, YWCA and YMCA, and other non-profit agencies.

2005 projects included youth iMovie and DVD productions, a photoshop scrabook project, and photoshop calendars.

TechQuest is a WRAP!

Working in collaboration with the Minneapolis YWCA, this exciting project introduces technology to girls aged 8-12 in a fun and creative environment.

This years 4 day camp, held at Dunwoody Institutes Printing and Graphics facilities, featured ample opportunity for experimenting with technology tools through a hands-on creative project — developing a magazine using Photoshop.

Volunteers and Presenters at this years camp included:

  • Emily Tompson, 'zine publisher
  • Laurie Brown, interactive artist from FallonWorldwide
  • Karen Campbell from Hamline University
  • Kelly Hemenway, freelance artist
  • Barb Sebring, YWCA intern and art instructor
  • Amanda Taylor, video and filmaker
  • Nancy Lyons, President of Bitstream Interactive

This project is supported by the generous contributions of ADC Foundation and the YWCA.

A special thanks to all the volunteers who signed on to make this project a success!
